I understand the headset mode requires USB tethering and is intended for zoom/teams calls on a computer. Does it also work with a phone, and if so, does it work for phone calls or just zoom/team calls?
It works with my iPhone 15 Pro over USB C, both for calls and media listening. But it is not possible to control volume with the integrated volume slider, you have to use the myPhonak app for that.
For calls when tethered, does the Roger mic transmit your voice clearly to the caller in a noisy environment? My phonak HAs without Roger work with my android phone for media listening and calls over Bluetooth, but the HA mics are bad at isolating my voice for the other caller, so I’m hoping that the Roger headset mode will solve that problem.
It depends on the type of noise. I’ve been told by others that my voice comes through clearly even when there’s background machine noise. However, the microphones sometimes pick up conversations from people nearby.
That said, it works much better than relying on the microphones built into my hearing aids.
