Oticon Lithium battery replacement for the Oticon "More" model

We viewed a video on how easy it is to replace a Lithium battery on an Oticon “MORE” model hearing aid.

Can the battery be replaced without having the Oticon software?

Or is it necessary to input the serial number via the software to be able to DIY replace/activate a Lithium battery?

I replaced mine with batteries pirchased on ebay. I do not have the oticon app and did nothing but replace the batteries and charge the Hearing aids overnight. it has been at least two or three months and no issues. Battery levels still work, low battery alarms still work, charge to to what the charger and the hearing aids show as full ( 100% ) takes about an hour. *Just an FYI the batteries I purchased han older production date and do not seem to have the capacity to last the 22hrs that the Aud said they should last. Still I’m getting 12 to 14 hours on the batterys I have. Older production dates means the battery will not have the output capacity that a new battery has! Still for thr price I paid I’m happy !!

Cookimnstr, :pray:Thank you so much for your much-appreciated and helpful information! It was such a relief to learn that the Oticon Software was not needed to activate the replaced battery.
