I’m 75 and retired so can’t afford the £4000 that Boots Chemists recently recommended I get for my hearing loss., so I bought a pair of Signia Silk 5x hearing aids off eBay.
Whilst they certainly help I find that they don’t have the volume that I would like, even on max in the signia app. Would it help if they were programmed to my audiogram ? And ,if so, is there anyone on this forum who could do it for me (at a reasonable cost ) ?
I am in South Wales in the U.K.
Mybe Apple’s AirPods Pro are a goods choice for you.
It certainly would help, if the aids are programmed to your loss @David_B1… Boots Hearing Care, would let you pay up for new aids over 2 years… You don’t say whether you have tried and NHS Audiology Departments, you local Doctor can refer you, the NHS provides good/decent aids, usually 1 tier below top spec aids… Costco, if you have one within reasonable travelling distance, do rebranded top of the line aids, for around £1500, for a pair of fully fitted aids, they use best practices like REM… Good Luck, cheers Kev
Airpods pro dont work in the u.k. as hearing aids do they ?
