Someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think you can image the cochlea in a living human being at that level of detail.
No, the individual needs to be dead before you can use this.
But basic research, sure, give the mouse a treatment and then it takes a bit of the work out of seeing whether the treatment was effective.
