I come from a family of hearing impaired people including my father (profound), two sisters (one profound, one severe) and one brother (profound). My daughter has a severe to profound loss as well as a few of my nieces and nephews. My loss is severe, bordering on profound. All of our losses are congenital sensorineural in nature and have affected us all our lives.
