Just a note to the above: the “T-Coil” is located IN the hearing aids; what goes around the room and sends the signal is a “loop”, or “audio loop”. Together they are usually called a “hearing loop” system.

My former audiologist in Asheville NC DID have her office looped, with a TV mounted on the wall so you could see how it worked linked to the television. . . . and her husband was the local installer of hearing loops for buildings. There weren’t a huge number of them in town, but there was a significant ‘movement’ to promote them for awhile–a number of churches and several theaters had them, and public libraries (lecture rooms).

How great! Was it good for you? Oregon is a huge proponent of them & has many grocery store counters, doctor’s offices, public venues, etc. looped. Our nearby Costco has a portable counter loop. Too many people don’t even know this tech exists!
