Audio tells me you won’t hear every word when spoken to from the side wearing Intent 1s

Although the process to get it might not be as easy as them printing one off. Maybe if I’d asked at the exam, but the later request was replied to with a “please submit a formal records request.” answer.

That shocks me. At Costco or a private place? I do believe you have a legal right to it, no questions asked. I’ve always been given mine automatically. Certainly Costco does and bf that I had them easily from private audiologists.

Will do, I will be there next week :+1::+1:

Ask them to give you a moment to take a picture of your audiogram.

The VA Audiology Dept. does not give out copies of your audiogram, but most clinics have a “Medical Records” dept. on site, where you can fill out the form, and they’ll print it out while you wait.

The hospital I go to is a complex maze of smaller buildings connected by enclosed walkways. I had a hard time finding the office to let me fill out a travel claim. It would have been easier to fill it out online, even though that’s a PITA.

Haha, sounds like VA Long Beach,CA, a total maze.
Why can’t they post our audiograms on va.gov?

The hospital I go to for hearing matters was started in the 20’s as a psychiatric hospital. There were many long narrow buildings arranged around this campus. Many were linked together. I suppose I’d get used to it if I went frequently for things, but I go to another va hospital for everything else. Their hearing shop looked at my Phonak aids like they were from mars (actually called several staff in for them all to see them!) and told me they’d be of no help; they were an oticon shop.

Rather than request the record formally, I did a blue button dump and searched for the appointment. My hearing test results were there in text format. Typically have to wait three days for test results to be available.

I would like to thank cvkemp and mystuart, and anyone else who joined in to answer my question. But especially the two mentioned. I wouldn’t have known the questions to ask otherwise as you usually take the Audi’s word. Not any more. Going from CICs for 30 years to Indent 1s to me, is a big learning curve. If cvkemp has anything more to add before my Appointment on Monday, feel free to add. And mystuart telling me that she can switch from narrow to wide pickup, I wouldn’t have known it existed. Thank you both :+1::+1:

You definitely have a legal right to your medical records. They’re yours. You own them.
